Susan MacLeod graduated from Ducan of Jordanstone with a First Class Honours degree in Jewellery and Metal Design. Her work explores the balance between deliate fragile forms and the expression of dramatic silhouettes through contemporary jewellery. Taking inspiration from irregular natural structures, and the beauty in their imperfection, Susan strives to make theatrical silver jewellery that evokes the elegance of the wild.
"Since graduating I have developed my practice at the Summerhall studios in Edinburgh and have exhibited in many contemporary craft events. I was awarded by Arts Thread and exhibited at the Royal Kew Botanical Gardens at the Handmade at Kew Show. I recently completed a residency at the Bishopsland Educational Trust and I have continued to develop my practice at Summerhall."
